The ten-meter-long wall ruins made of red bricks stand out from its surrounding at Wang Lang district. This valuable historic monument dates back to 240 years ago during the Thonburi Period. It used to be a part of the wall that surrounded the vast compound of King Rama I’s older sister’s Wang Lang Palace. The ruins are preserved to signify its history. The area of the compound was enormous, extending to the area of today’s Siriraj Hospital. Initially, the wall stood extremely tall, but land fillings made it appear much shorter.
